Something that will cause a great deal of frustration to a PS3 owner is to have your system malfunction. A very expensive system that is highly rated for its reliability decides it does not want to work any longer and is now rendered useless. Something that is unknown to many people today is that there are actually quite a few issues that can plague these systems. Throughout this article I am going to describe to you exactly what you should now do if you have realized you have a faulty PS3.
There are a few simple steps that you should do upon finding that you have a faulty PS3, in order to check if the problem can be resolved through simple methods or if the problem is deeper than just on the surface. the first step that you should put your system through is to disconnect every cable that is connected to the console. after you have accomplished this you should then allow your system to rest for at least 10 to 15 minutes and then after that time has passed reconnec t the cables back into the system. after this cycle is complete you should then power on your console and observe if the problem is still apparent. many may find that this simple fix did not solve their issues with their console and if you find that this did not work then you should try removing the hard drive from your PS3. after you disconnect your hard drive you should then simply reconnect it and power on the system and check if this has solved your issue. Once 7;gain, this may fix the problem for some consoles but it will not be something that will remedy the majority of systems.
The next thing that you should check is to see if the system is acquiring proper airflow. in many cases the console may be in an area which is restricting its cooling process. take a look over your system and observe if there are any air circulation issues which may cause the system to overheat which will then result in the malfunctioning of the system. just simply observe the area that the system lies in and check if it is receiving proper airflow and it is not in a restricted area. your problem may just simply me a result to overheating.
Sadly, if you find that neither of these solutions solves your problem then you now only have two other options. your first option is to pay Sony for repairs or to simply repair the system on your own. in my opinion the second option, which is to apply a self-repair, provides major advantages over using Sony’s repair services. First you will see that the prices differ greatly between the two options, Sony will charge you a price of $150 when a self-repair will cost yo ;u under $50. Another thing that differs is the timeframe which you must wait for your system to be repaired. with Sony’s option you will be in for a 6 to 8 week wait, but if you choose to repair the system on your own you can have it repaired and as little as an hour.
