What are the links of shame between Genesis and Luke?

Stock Assault 2.0 - Artificial Intelligence Stock Market Software

In the Bible, there is a theme of shame in Genesis 2-3, and Genesis 38, and I don't see how it relates to the readings of Luke 11:5-13; Luke 16:1-9; Luke 18:1-8. Our teacher assigned these passages, but can't find the link between the Genesis readings and the Luke readings. If anyone can help at all, thank you.

Video-Commerce.org » Is Vimeo PRO a Professional Video Solution for Retail and eCommerce?

Stock Assault 2.0 - Artificial Intelligence Stock Market Software

The online video platform and sharing site Vimeo has been touting their new PRO version as a simple and extremely affordable video solution for business. but is it advantageous for retailers and eCommerce professionals? Read my own review and interview with Vimeo’s own staff, and find out if it may be right for you or not!

Introducing Vimeo PRO from Bill Bergen on Vimeo.

Early last month, the video hosting platform and sharing site Vimeo announced the creation of a new type of professional account, Vimeo PRO as “a simple and extremely affordable video solution for businesses.” (You can read the full announcement at the Vimeo staff blog.)

While Vimeo is a great deal smaller than YouTube, it has it’s own large community of creative video professionals and enthusiasts; and had a rather attractive free program as well as a low-cost program, Vimeo Plus. However, Vimeo had long prohibited users from doing any commercial activity on it. (Not that there weren’t instances of that happening, but violating that term of service did get some people’s accounts cancelled.)

“We’ve been hearing from companies for years about how they would love to use Vimeo for commercial purposes (something our current platform prohibits) so we’ve built a service and added some tools that we think small businesses and organizations will find very useful.” â€" Vimeo staff blog, August 1, 2011.

As someone who already had a Vimeo Plus account, I was pleased to hear this news, and signed up for a Vimeo Pro account myself. (Existing Vimeo Plus members can upgrade to PRO at just $139, versus the full $199 annual rate.)

My own Vimeo Pro account, upgraded from Vimeo Plus. (No one "likes" me just yet.

What’s included with Vimeo PRO

Below is the full list of Vimeo Pro features for $199 per year. I’ve bolded the features exclusive to Vimeo Pro users:

Any new Video SEO Features?

Vimeo is already a good platform for getting videos indexed into Google and other search engine results pages, including the thumbnails. You can have a video hosted on Vimeo, YouTube, and a 3rd party account, and they could all show up under the same result with their individual image thumbnails.  (That is because as Sean confirmed to me, Vimeo does have its own Google Video Sitemap, which they update every time a public video is added; and they provide lots of data, including thumbnails, t ;o Googlebot.)

However, there is a big caveat: Vimeo PRO accounts do not have access to the Vimeo community by default. Meaning, PRO accounts’ activity and videos will not show up on Vimeo.com by default, and they do not have the ability to “like” or “comment.”

Vimeo says that they’ve taken this step to keep commercial content hidden, and maintain the current Community Guidelines. “From what we’ve seen, most companies only care about being able to embed their commercial video, so we believe this private system accounts for the huge majority of business use cases.” says Vimeo on their blog.

So just how do PRO users get around this? “Vimeo has built a ‘Community Pass’ system to allow PRO members to interact on Vimeo.com just like a Basic or Plus member” they reported on their blog. “This allows for the individuals and organizations who need the extra features of PRO, but still want to participate on Vimeo.com. That’s fine as long as they play by the rules.” Says Vimeo.

So if you’re a PRO user that wants your video to still be discovered by the public, you now need to make a point of getting a “community pass” for your individual videos and portfolio pages. but keep in mind that you can still use Vimeo for Video SEO on your own website.  all you need to do is embed your Vimeo videos on your own website, and apply SEO best practices to those pages.

I would certainly vote for Video SEO over “Vimeo SEO.” I find the Vimeo portfolio feature to be rather limited in terms of actual Video SEO capabilities, despite what they may be advertising. Sean also informed me, Vimeo doesn’t yet have any Video SEO case studies with their portfolio pages â€" either with existing account holders or just in-house â€" that they can yet demonstrate. (They attribute that to the newness of the program, but I would offer that any company that promotes a feature should take the time to actually test it out and sh 1;w actual examples of it’s success.)

Additionally, Vimeo Pro doesn’t appear to actually provide users with information on how they can create their own Google Video Sitemaps with their Vimeo account. that would have been particularly helpful, since the users would want to have Google point back to Vimeo videos embedded on their own site, and not on Vimeo. (Fortunately ReelSEO does have a guide on How to get Your Vimeo Embeds into Google Search.)

Is Vimeo PRO suitable for retail business and eCommerce Professionals?

I posed that question to Vimeo’s General Manager, Dae Melencamp, who provided me this response.

“until now, quality video hosting has been expensive, confusing, and extremely difficult for a small business owner to digest.  Vimeo PRO provides eCommerce and retailers an easy, affordable and powerful video hosting solution.  Retailers will particularly gain from the low price, extensive device compatibility, video player customization and the new ability to upload commercial content to the Vimeo platform. The Portfolio feature even gives companies the power to create their own mini websites that are both beautiful and easy to setup.”

While that may work for some businesses, it would seem to make much more sense to have the portfolio pages appear directly on your own website, rather than a 3rd party site like Vimeo (which not only doesn’t add a description to the portfolio home page, but doesn’t let others’ add content either.)

But here’s a much bigger problem: I couldn’t find any actual eCommerce options in their video player, or anywhere in their entire program. For example: you can’t include a “Buy” button or a “Shop” button in the player. in fact, it doesn’t appear to allow you to add any button in the video player to an outside link.

My Verdict on Vimeo PRO

The short version: Vimeo Pro could benefit retail companies and eCommerce professionals to help build awareness of their brand and products, but they should not rely on it as a stand-alone solution. in fairness, Vimeo Pro has never advertised their PRO version as replacing any e-commerce video solution. However, their Video SEO claims still remain to be seen, and users should be aware that they need to now get a “community pass” if they want to continue to have their videos indexed a nd appear in Vimeo’s own search results. So, with that now said…

You could consider Vimeo Pro if…

  • You are already a Vimeo user and want to use videos for your commercial endeavors.
  • You are looking for an affordable, simple, branded solution for your video content.
  • You are looking for a video sharing site other than YouTube that is well indexed by Google.
  • You are planning to do Video SEO and will optimize your own Website and web pages with embedded videos.
  • You already have an e-Commerce video platform in place for your own website.

You should pass on Vimeo PRO if…

  • You are medium-to-large size businesses.
  • You need e-commerce features in a video platform.

Cheap Web Hosting – Important Features You Need to Check

Stock Assault 2.0 - Artificial Intelligence Stock Market Software

Searching for cheap web hosting plans is quite challenging today considering the numerous hosting service providers that offer various discounts and special deals to attract customers. however, regardless of how cheap the plan that they offer, the most important part of any hosting plan is the quality of the services that they provide.

There is no point of paying the cheapest plan online but the service are poor and your site consistently encounters various down time, thereby causing you a lot of opportunity income lost as a result of your site being inaccessible by visitors. That is why, you must carefully check the reliability of the services that they offer to ensure that your website is always up and live most of the time.

When choosing for the best cheap web hosting plan you must ensure that some of the basic features are present in order to fully enjoy excellent services. take note that failure to check on one of the standard features can tremendously affect the kind of services that you get. Hence, it is imperative that you must check it out to ensure getting the best out of your plan.

Bandwidth is one of the basic things that you need to look, and it is like the gas mileage of your car. The moment your website runs out of bandwidth, your site becomes inaccessible by visitors. take note that a hundred thousand hits is more or less equivalent to 1 GB of bandwidth. try to project your average monthly website visitors when choosing the minimum bandwidth that you must get.

Another important feature is disk space. The more disk space that you have, the more files, images, and videos you can post and publish on your website. Ff you are expecting to have numerous articles and contents, along with photos and videos, then you must choose the plan with large disk space.

Customer support is similarly important to your hosting plan, choose the cheap web hosting plan that has excellent support and technical assistance. Make sure that the assistance that they offer is 24 hours per day and 7 days per week so that you are immediately assisted any time you encounter some issues with your plan.

These are among the most important features that you should check. There are still many other aspects to consider but you can start with the ones discussed herein. when selecting plans from cheap web hosting services, make sure that the quality of the services that they offer is not compromised by the minimal amount they charged to you.

Birthplace Magazine : The News Frontier Database

Stock Assault 2.0 - Artificial Intelligence Stock Market Software

NEW YORK, NEW YORK — Birthplace Magazine was created with a mission: to highlight the best of New York hip hop. the name comes from New York’s status as the musical genre’s hometown. Built on a solid foundation of ideas and expertise, the website has gained momentum, but now faces a number of marketing and editorial challenges before it can continue to expand.

Manny Faces, the site’s founder and editor, was motivated to start Birthplace Magazine when the hip hop industry (and the media’s coverage of it) branched away from New York to California and elsewhere, creating a void in local hip hop coverage. “New York didn’t have a strong centralized representation for this genre, which felt ironic to me because New York is the birthplace of hip hop—what’s now a world wide multi-billion industry,” says Faces.

    • Read more about Birthplace Magazine
      • Since its launch in 2008, the online publication has successfully carved out a niche in providing information on hip hop music, artists, events, and other aspects of the industry that have a connection to the New York metropolitan area. one of the characteristic features of Birthplace is the series “5 Reasons why New York Hip Hop Doesn’t Suck.” Faces started the column in 2010 in response to claims that the New York scene was “washed up.” When the first “5 Reasons” was published it quickly became the most read story on the site.

Content for the website is almost entirely produced by Faces. while he works full-time as online production manager for the Long Island Press, Faces still manages to keep the events calendar updated and post an average of three articles a day. the biggest frustration, he says, is that he can’t do more. with a committed editorial staff of two—Faces and contributor Steven Ortiz, neither of whom draw a salary—and a handful of occasional writers, there’s a limit to how much further the website can develop.

Birthplace Magazine still straddles the line between a news publication and a blog. the beige and maroon WordPress theme is clean, but lacks branding. Advertisements run through Google’s AdSense network pay pennies per view, and on a good month that can bring in hundreds of dollars, but no more, says Faces. the money goes back into site hosting fees, travel expenses, and marketing materials, and there’s never been any leftover to pay writers. Faces runs the site as a sole proprietorship.

What ultimately makes Birthplace a professional site is that many stories feature original, in-depth reporting. Writers provide brief coverage of spot music news in the “Quickies” section, but stories in other sections of the site are typically much longer, ranging from 400 words to upwards of 3,000. It’s about practicing good journalism and not trying to get the most page views possible,” Faces says. “I don’t want to just do trend-based reporting.”

Birthplace Magazine’s monthly unique visitor count varies, but is typically between 20,000 and 50,000, according to Faces. with a very tight budget, Birthplace Magazine relies on social media for marketing. Content is promoted through Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Tumblr. the website is also featured on the New York Times City Room blogroll and is syndicated through Google news, which Faces says drives a lot of traffic. Posting the latest viral music video, whether it’s New York themed or not, also “keeps our numbers steady,” he says.

But for many readers the real value of Birthplace Magazine comes from the coverage of grassroots hip hop. This work is what won the publication the prize for “best Music Website” in 2010 at the New York Music Awards, which issued its first awards in 1986 and began again in 2010 after a brief hiatus. “I’ve got to take care of the underground. It’s not good for traffic but it gets me love,” Faces says. “these artists are crazy talented but nobo 0;y knows. So I have to make sure that we’re where you go to find those artists.”

Birthplace Magazine has the potential to grow. the site has already garnered a solid following, and with additional marketing and research Faces says Birthplace is well situated to become “the undisputed source for New York hip hop news.” the editor even has his sights set on exporting the local online hip hop magazine concept beyond the city’s borders, where he’ll undoubtedly encounter stiff competition.

“the whole idea is that if I can make it here I can make it anywhere,” says Faces. “This is replicable. So if I could find a way to finish the pilot model here and sustain it monetarily, we could expand.” but for now, the goal is to focus on New York, bringing Birthplace Magazine to core readers and bringing up and coming hip hop artists into the limelight.

Thinking inside and outside the Bochs with Kevin Lawton

Stock Assault 2.0 - Artificial Intelligence Stock Market Software

As some of you know, I co-authored a book with Amy Newman titled, Practical Virtualization Solutions: Virtualization from the Trenches, Prentice Hall 2009, and in it I mentioned the Bochs project. Bochs is an Intel architecture PC emulator written and previously maintained by Kevin Lawton. Since Kevin began the project in 1994, much has happened in the virtualization space. His original work on Bochs and x86 architecture prompted an entire new way of computing: x86 virtualization.

I had the rare opportunity to interview Kevin and ask him questions about Bochs, virtualization and his vision of the future of computing.

The following is the bulk of that interview in Kevin’s own words.

Hess: When did you start the Bochs and plex86 projects?

Lawton: I started the Bochs project in 1994, after leaving MIT Lincoln Lab. and, plex86 in the late 1990s.

Hess: was there a precursor to Bochs or did you start it from scratch?

Lawton: at the time, I had little knowledge about x86 or the PC architecture, I just picked up some books on it and started. Wow, I had no idea how complicated x86 was, how much baggage it came with, and how poorly or undocumented much of the system architecture was, including the BIOS. but, it’s probably a good thing that I didn’t know ahead of time. Who knows what virtualization would look like today if I hadn’t slogged through and made Bochs.

Hess: Would it be fair to call you the Father of x86 virtualization?

Lawton: I’m not the father of it, I was more like the catalyst of x86 virtualization. before me was the commercial solution, Connectix. but being closed source of course, it wasn’t able to be used to R&D the next generation of ideas.

I even implemented a mode in bochs that could execute x86 code natively under the right circumstances, before similar functionality was added to QEMU. this was based on some of the work I did in plex86. The open-ness of what I did in R&D and implementation catalyzed a lot of downstream innovation.

Hess: Let’s talk about what’s going on now in the virtualization space. The buzzword for this year is VDI. what do you think of VDI?

Lawton: sure, VDI is useful. It’s a step in the evolution of compute and virtualization. but even better is something we might call “liquid computing” where you don’t have to care where the compute happens, and the code is so migratable that it moves around without you knowing. for example, one minute it’s running on the server and sending a window to an end-point. and, the next instance, it’s running on the end-point. but you don’t have to care. that way, execution happens where the resources are, or make sense a ;t that moment. like an iPad game app that realizes it needs heavy 3D rendering and migrates itself to server-side rendering resources. Or an app/environment which migrates from your notebook to your car’s in-dash computer.

Hess: behind the obvious leader in the field, VMware, who do you think has the next biggest shot at corporate adoption for server virtualization?

Lawton: Being a trend-forecaster of sorts, I’ll take the liberty of staying away from the uber-political short term answer, and focus on the long term. Nobody said the future of virtualization will look anything like today. If Google plays its cards right, it could be. Ditto for Amazon. because if things go where I believe they are going, having infrastructure built and super-optimized for the way computing needs to be done tomorrow will offer huge advantages. we wi 8;l look back and think how caveman-like running VMware was. Look to companies who are building datacenters for tomorrow’s computing paradigm.

Hess: Same question for cloud computing.

Lawton: See answer above. I think ultimately these will be the same question.

Hess: Why is security such a concern for cloud computing?

Lawton: It should be; your data is on someone else’s hardware. and that hardware is potentially shared or adjacent to the hardware storing someone else’s data. I think that’s a very rational reason for concern.

Hess: How can we make cloud computing safer?

Lawton: It’s incredibly difficult. Having a trusted secure path right from power on through boot is a start. but everything the VM touches, from the network equipment to the storage would have to be 100% in order to be really safe. Personally, I think one of the most exciting unsolved problems out there is to figure out how to run workloads without the hosting hardware/software having any clue what the workload is. then you can run on completely untrusted crap, and still have secure computing. It’s kind of a paradox–the less you trust it, the mor e safe it becomes. Until then, it’s really important that every piece have safety built in, and the solutions are thought out end-to-end. If you don’t have a package deal, you don’t have safety.

Hess: what are your ideas about the next generation of virtualization and data center computing?

    Lawton:

    1) Virtualization for GPGPU. What’s the VMware-like solution for OpenCL? Why not have a virtualized OpenCL which allows people to write GPGPU apps, but late-bind them to whatever hardware is available at the time? with virtualization at the layer between the “host program” and OpenCL device, that cracks the door open for live migration of GPGPU workloads, just like for CPU (ala vMotion). and thus, the derivative technologies such as workload balancing (DRS) and power management (DPM). otherwise, this kind of parallel computing app gets stuck on a hardware node once it starts. and for some HPC apps, that’s days or weeks.

    2) Higher VM densities and big power savings using a software VM migration acceleration trick. Imagine if you applied the concept of memory de-dup within a server, to equivalent memory identification across servers. and then used that as a way to migrate a lot less VM memory, because a lot of the memory you need to transfer is already on the destination server. Given SAN or NAS, mostly you’re transferring memory state. It turns out this technique is very effective, especially for cases where there are lots of similar VMs. Now letR 17;s think about why we run nominal loads at such low values — because of load spikes. If we could migrate VMs in zero seconds, we’d boost the load to near 100% all the time. so, accelerating migration equates to higher load capacity. a lot of the current CPU-based power consumption in a datacenter is a waste because we don’t employ this technique.

    3) Entire software distributions, all in LLVM IR format (i.e. not in native x86 or ARM). I worked for a Linux distro before. Generally, you end up compiling/targeting some kind of lower-common-denominator, by way of compiler flags etc. A) that leaves a lot of performance on the table, and B) it means the code will not run on other architectures. with today’s maturity of LLVM, there’s no reason for any of this. In the Linux world, there’s adoption of multiarch support, which allows binaries for multiple architectures to be installed on the same filesystem. That’s a great opportuni ty for Linux to feather in support of offering packages in LLVM IR format, with either a compile-to-native-binary during install (optimizing for the target platform) or a later binding, like at execution time. Or possibly a combination (cached translations). Ultimately, people may forget about architectures at the app level, even for “native” (e.g. C/C++) code.

    4) Actually, if you push the above idea one step further and add more memory indirection within the LLVM emitted code (at the expense of performance), you can get not only some seriously better memory sanity checks, but allow code to be migrated live across different architectures. Imagine a vMotion between x86 and ARM? It’s possible at the app level.

    5) I haven’t checked the latest LLVM status, but with IR extensions, it could be used to compile OS kernels too. and so expanding yet one step further, entire VMs could be migrated across architectures, and re-optimized when needed for the target.

    6) Mass-scale VM fault tolerance. Setting aside execution based fault tolerance (where a clone executes the same code), which is resource intensive and generally better for single threaded VMs, state-based fault tolerance (copy dirty pages and synchronize to checkpoints) has some massive opportunities for commoditizing fault tolerance. Why not have some machines with beefy amounts of RAM, acting as FT proxies, serving as the clone VM for massive amounts of VMs? Essentially, this proxy machine is nothing but a memory state synchronizer. but note that it has massive memory de-dup oppties as it can handle many VMs. I think the price o& #102; fault tolerance can be brought down low enough that it’s a no brainer for many VMs and becomes the standard. like, on the Amazon EC2 level.

    7) CPU re-design/re-thinking. If interposing layers, like LLVM handle memory accesses, what’s the point of virtual memory facilities baked into the processor (like page tables)? all that silicon space dedicated to page table storage and page walking logic might be better dedicated to assisting the new paradigm, and to more cores & execution logic. and by the same reasoning, the whole notion of what a virtualization “container” or boundary around an OS instance (or application for that matter), breaks down. Some of virtualization moves out of the processor, into a software layer.

Hess: what are your aspirations for Bochs going forward?

Lawton: I haven’t done anything with it for years. It was a high-instrumentation, lower performance tool. I let many projects use it to R&D their efforts, including VMWare when they were at Stanford and QEMU (used in KVM). It was the first real open x86 PC emulation tool, which made it extremely difficult to build during the very undocumented days of x86, the system BIOS, etc. but it paved the way for many others to take their efforts to new levels. I planted a flag on the moon–that’s good enough.

USC football season begins with new plans for security, traffic

Stock Assault 2.0 - Artificial Intelligence Stock Market Software

USC begins its 119th football season Saturday with a game at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where increased security and new plans for parking and traffic management will be put into effect.

Security patrols will be increased in Exposition Park, on the USC campus and surrounding neighborhood, athletic director Pat Haden wrote in a letter to fans. Coliseum management has installed cameras that allow security officers to better monitor the entire venue, Haden wrote.

“We also have improved integration between law enforcement agencies,” Haden wrote.

USC has developed an integrated traffic plan in conjunction with city leaders, the Department of Transportation and a professional traffic consultant that Haden said “will improve traffic flow and ease entry and exit from Coliseum parking lots.” there will be more traffic control officers in the streets, improved and increased signage and a “united approach to traffic management,” Haden wrote.

All parking around the Coliseum is now reserved on a lot-by-lot basis. Each of USC’s support group members have been assigned to a specific lot for the entire season. there will be more visible parking permits, improved training of parking lot attendants and new lighting and resurfacing in many Coliseum parking lots, Haden wrote.

Fans without an assigned parking lot are encouraged to park in any USC campus lot or structure.

USC conducted a new staff training program from its ushers and ticket takers, purchased new uniforms for staff, added guest service booths around the Coliseum and will have game day “ambassadors” in Exposition Park for the first time, Haden wrote.

There will be new gate signs and food vendor maps at the Coliseum. What Haden said is college football’s second-largest high-definition video board will make its debut today. A free iPhone application providing traffic feeds and updates, maps, concession information and live stats is available in the App Store.

USC will survey fans throughout the season for feedback on the improvements.

“We might not get everything right the first time around and we apologize for any first-game inconvenience, but we are committed to continual improvement throughout this season and in the years ahead,” Haden wrote.

The USC Trojans season opener is against the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

Cloud vendors rise to meet divergent demands of enterprises and service providers

Stock Assault 2.0 - Artificial Intelligence Stock Market Software

Not all compute clouds are created equal. Nor should they be.

There is a world of difference between the needs of an IT service provider — be it a hosting company, a data center operator or a managed services company — and the typical enterprise IT shop.

Service providers lead the way on cloud computing, because it’s how they make their money. for the enterprise, on the other hand, IT, whether it encompasses cloud or not, is just another cost center.

Now after many failed attempts to sell replicas of cloud infrastructure platforms into enterprises, vendors have begun to tailor cloud products for the two sides of cloud. even though enterprises don’t have the same needs as cloud providers, IT managers still see the benefits to the kind of commoditization and automation used by providers like Amazon Web Services.

It’s tricky for the cloud vendors. Enterprises come in many flavors and sizes; a medical services firm doesn’t need what an advertising firm needs. Service providers are large or small; only huge enterprises that own or run IT on the same scale as a service provider can build out on-demand architectures that look like AWS, according to Randy Bias, president of Cloudscaling.

“These days, people are trying to figure out where they’re going to fit. They’re either building at very large scale…or [they’ll] be in one of these other spots” said Bias. Cloudscaling, an IT consultancy, has built cloud environments for large enterprises like Kaiser Permanente, a health care organization as well as providers such as Internap Network Services and VMware. Enterprises that weren’t building at scale were far more likely to look at a tailored option or a provider catering to their particular needs instead of build ing a general purpose cloud, he said.

“Rackspace has over 100,000 customers that have an average of two servers each, I think,” said Chris Kemp, former NASA CTO and now CEO at Nebula, a Palo Alto, Calif.-based cloud appliance maker. “That’s very different from what an enterprise will require. Typically, you have these vertical silos of compliance requirements.”

“Commodity is king in the cloud.”

Because of that fundamental operational difference, enterprises seek a holistic view and control of their infrastructure that lets them leverage automation but stay with compliance frameworks and preserve existing infrastructure management tools.

“One of the key points is compatibility with CMDB tools,” Kemp said, referring to the configuration management databases that most big companies use to track their infrastructure technology.

Nebula will be a top-of-rack appliance that runs OpenStack, the open source cloud platform sponsored by Rackspace and Dell. The pitch to enterprises will be interfaces designed to work with common management tools, such as IBM Tivoli, ArcSight, CA Spectrum and BMC.

The idea was to make a cloud environment work out of the box with existing tools, Kemp said. “Enterprise IT is driven by compliance and conservatism. The less of that we have to ask people to change, the better we’ll do,” he said.

Cloud providers tailor pitch to their audience Other vendors present a dual approach by tailoring their cloud pitch differently to service providers and enterprises.

New releases of CA Automation Suite for Datacenters (12.5), CA Suite for Cloud 1.0 emphasize connectivity and mobility for workloads. Ryan Shopp, a director of marketing at CA, said one advance was a streamlined process to convert existing VMs into public-cloud ready Amazon Machine Images.

CA also has a separate track created entirely for service providers.   â€œCA Cloud Market Accelerator for Service Providers”, which is part of the AppLogic 3.0 release, targets providers that want to whitebox CA and rebrand their cloud environments.

Dell’s new Rackspace and OpenStack-powered cloud-in-a-box is aimed at service providers, such as hosters and telecom companies, and other organizations that look to build a cloud from the ground up, according to the company.

It’s worth noting all these options use the same basic parts: commodity servers. No one disputes the basic math of cheap computing power. Cloudscaling’s Bias says he aims for a run rate of $10/mo. per virtual server (equal to AWS’ “m1.small” instance), amortized over five years on a cloud environment. Amazon charges $70-$80/mo. for an m1.small. Conspicuously missing from these plans is high-end, specialized and pricy hardware such as Oracle’s Exadata or Exalogic. Commodity is king in the cloud.

Cloud platforms only a hit at providers Other than big, legacy vendors like Dell and CA, established cloud platform startups such as Abiquo, Enomaly and Eucalyptus Systems have succeeded mostly in selling to service providers to date. Enomaly targets hosting providers and telcos specifically.  Eucalyptus, after touting Eli Lilly and financial firms as early wins, now boasts NTT as one of its biggest customers.

That’s not to say there’s no room for cloud platforms or cloud infrastructure in the enterprise. There is. in fact, Abiquo CEO Pete Malcolm said his firm made more revenue from enterprise customers than  from service providers for the first time in the second quarter of 2011. but it’s also now clear that there is a widening gulf between what enterprises want out of cloud and what service providers want, and the market is moving to address that.

Expert Debt Settlement Attorney Program For Green States and Red States

Stock Assault 2.0 - Artificial Intelligence Stock Market Software

However, now there are new FTC rulings and sure to come new legislation that appears to show a strong preference for the attorney-based debt resolution model, as opposed to the non-attorney debt settlement model. Well actually, the debt settlement industry and all those who are not affiliated with an attorney based debt resolution model are done, finished, and scrambling to the attorney model.

Obviously, an attorney has a license on the line during all representations of a client; however, a debt settlement affiliate has no accountability and little or no chance of being held responsible for recompense for their actions. the long and short of it is the traditional green state debt settlement model (down to 20 states) is a defunct model as of Oct. 27th 2010.

This is incredible considering that the loan modification companies, credit repair companies, mortgage offices, call centers and the like were just about to make life changing money, but no fear there’s always a plan b. Lead generation companies are scrambling for answers, as the demand for debt settlement leads must shift quickly to providing debt resolution leads.

The FTC Ruling states clearly, Debt-settlement companies will now only be able to charge a fee once a customers debt has been reduced, settled or renegotiated. the rule goes into effect Oct. 27. Ouch

An attorney has a fiduciary duty to a client, meaning they must always, first and foremost, have the clients best interest in mind. Of course, this is not the case at all for the non-attorney based model, and therefore it is abundantly clear the significant difference between the two versions based upon who has more to lose and keeping the client protected.

Now that you understand why it is so important to your business to align your company with attorney-based debt resolution, you must take note of a couple of crucial points:

Choose an attorney-based debt resolution alliance which has stood the test of time, catering to both industry veterans and to those who are new to the business.

Be always mindful of your cash flow Seasoned veterans of the business know it is critical to work with a company that has committed to commissions which are accelerated, being paid within the first 3 to 5 months. This is an essential element in holding off the costs incurred for leads and client acquisition, as well as your ability to pay commissions due to your representatives. Exhausting working capital is the single most influential reason that businesses go out of business.

Make arrangements for a training program for your sales force, as this is a dominant factor in the success of your representatives. Additionally, work with a company that offers an excellent, ongoing and comprehensive training course. Salespeople armed with the knowledge, confidence and interpersonal skills required will be successful. with competent debt resolution training, you will start to close a transaction each day, per agent. an office with 10 salespeople can be expected to close 200 deals a month.
